What We Do

NMAHC works in service of New Mexico's 42 County and Tribal Health Councils and their community partners. The Alliance offers training, coordination, convening, opportunities for collaborations, and advocacy in support of Health Councils' role in promoting community health.

  • Collaboration: We commit to collaboration among Health Councils and key public health stakeholders.

  • Equity and Inclusion: We value equity and inclusion within our organization and in our work to better the health of New Mexicans, recognizing that diversity, equity, and inclusion make us stronger.

  • Respect: We practice a culture of respect and cultural humility, acknowledging all perspectives and recognizing that words and actions matter.

  • Collective Voice: We are committed to cultivating a collective voice on issues that benefit all health councils.

Looking for Resources?

NMAHC shares all Peer Learning Sessions on this server to ensure Health Councils may speak freely and openly. These Learning Sessions are posted within 5 days of their occurrence on this site.

All Health Council Talks are made available on YouTube for both Health Councils and the public view. These are to help inform the public of the vital work and activity of our trusted health hubs, County and Tribal Health Councils.  View these on our YouTube Page.
